Grabbed a few of these prior to doing a Miyabi + ISM application. Although they worked great for the Miyabi, the thicker coating consistency of the ISM did not lend themselves well to using these during the application and removal. However I was likely not using them as intended for the ISM…my fault. ISM needed a cloth with greater nap to avoid imprinting the texture of the towel when mistakenly pushing some of the coating to an adjacent panel when buffing off the coating. Eh, rookie mistake on my part.

The place these cloths really stand out is in the lint-free application of things like Gyeon Cure, Gyeon Prep, Kamikaze Overcoat and similar items. They are excellent in this regard, allowing for the flexibility of application with a towel (small, tight spaces) but leaving no traces of lint behind that one might encounter using a towel of greater ‘nappiness’. The short nap also allows for more of the product to get to the surface of the panel as opposed to being absorbed into the nap of the towel.

Used appropriately, these are now my favorite towels for application-specific processes. A side note: They will bleed blue when washed so generally, wash by themselves or they will tint anything washed with them…doesn’t really hurt anything with the other towels they were washed with but may be a concern for some.
